- Smith, Evan
- In this thesis, Mr. Smith explores the structure and implications of the collective Anonymous. By drawing from anthropology, cultural studies, film studies, psychoanalysis, literary theory, and philosophy, he invites a wide reaching discussion about the Guy Fawkes mask worn by Anonymous and its prevailing manifesto: "We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us." The result of his exploration is a comment on fear and the role anonymity plays in the fear of power.
