The ethnic quilt: Population diversity in Southern California
This book is an analysis of 34 ethnic groups in greater Los Angeles, California based on the 1990 U.S. census. It describes in detailed maps the distributions of the groups and explains in a rich text how each group's residential concentrations evolved historically. It also describes with tables and graphs several dimensions of each group's socioeconomic status and explains in a detailed text the reasons behind group differences in status. PDF files of scanned pages are available by chapter.
