A study in the relationship between input and knowledge of services as indicated by deaf seniors at three secondary programs in Los Angeles about seven post-secondary institutions
This paper is concerned with the amount of knowledge 29 deaf high school seniors, in three Los Angeles schools, have about seven post-secondary programs primarily located in Los Angeles. A questionnaire was distributed to the seniors and they were to indicate the post- secondary program about which they were familiar, then check the components that were provided by each program (interpreting , tutoring , etc .). In general, the findings indicated an apparent lack of knowledge on the part of the deaf seniors about the seven post- secondary programs. There was a high correlation between knowledge of services at the post-secondary programs and the input or recruitment efforts on the part of post-secondary programs that offer programs for deaf students.
