Certain contributions of general semantics to the teaching of secondary school English
The purpose of this project is to introduce and develop a pattern of teaching techniques for general semantics. Teachers of English are continually searching for stimulating material. This project will help satisfy that quest for fresh , student-centered, functional techniques. In the following chapters the writ er will discuss five important general semantic concepts for which his students have indicated a need. Each concept will be explained in terms of the literature in the field; classroom illustrations will be described; and the explanations and illustrations will be suggested for student assignments.
