Diversity Managment in the Public Sector
The United States workforce makeup has changed over the last decades. Many studies indicate a direct link between diversity management and organizational productivity or profitability focusing on the private sector. Furthermore, few researchers discuss the contribution that diversity management programs have on women inclusion in the public sector workplace. This study seeks to explore the connection between diversity management and how it incorporates women inclusion in the workplace. Moreover, this study suggests a survey design to collect data from managers at the Department of Public Social Services in Los Angeles County. The findings can contribute to the understanding of the organization's diversity climate towards initiatives leading to women inclusiveness in the workplace.
