Best Practices for Worksite Wellness Implementation Success

In response to an increase in chronic disease in the United States, employers have, in recent decades, started implementing Worksite Wellness Programs (WWP). These programs have grown in popularity and are being offered through organizations and agencies more and more. Research shows that although they are a positive addition to the workplace environment, further studies are needed to determine best practices and to identify the ideal tools to be used for a successful WWP. The research study discussed in this proposal will be utilized for the Los Angeles County (LA Co) Internal Services Department (ISD) and their employees. This county agency is made up of approximately 2000 employees who have expressed interest in the adoption of a WWP.
