Positive behavior supports for students with autism

Autism Spectrum Disorders is a developmental disorder that currently affects 1 in 54 children in the United States. Students with autism are often included in the general education setting. These students might not have the positive support needed for be-havioral, academic, or social success. If a general education teacher is properly in-formed of interventions that can support students with autism, their students will in-crease positive behavior and academic success. The handbook in the appendix of this project was written to help general education teachers identify interventions that are fit for their students with autism needs.
