From paper to power: a study of the impact of complex environmental regulations & recent permit streamlining efforts on the success of utility-scale solar projects in the "golden state"

This Applied Research Study identifies complex regulation as one of the key factors in the recent trend for businesses to relocate outside of California. Since the field of regulation is exceptionally intricate, the study focuses on environmental-related regulation associated with the initial permitting of new projects. In order to analyze these specific impacts, the study narrows the scope of research to the varying permitting requirements for the implementation of new utility-scale solar projects throughout California as compared to several other States in the southwestern United States.
