Supervision and ongoing support for special education paraprofessionals

This study uses journal articles, research studies, books, and information from educational and professional organizations that were readily accessible through the California State University San Marcos library system to identify competencies needed by teachers to successfully supervise the work of paraprofessionals in educational settings. This information was then synthesized in order to create Supervision 1 OJ, which is an example of a guidebook that might be used in the educational field to serve as a source for teachers to use when supervising paraprofessionals.
