Amador County infant-early childhood mental health resource directory
The purpose of this project was to work towards a more integrated system of care for Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health (I-ECMH) services within Amador County. The project revolved around the creation of the Amador County Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Resource Directory. Existing services were identified and delineated along the continuum of promotion, prevention and treatment. Contributing providers convened at a countywide roundtable to share resources and program specific information with one another. A review of existing literature was conducted that served as a framework for a recommendations report on I-ECMH system improvement and future funding strategies. This report was provided to the Amador County Behavioral Health Department for consideration during their current quality improvement efforts for Mental Health Services Act funding and to First 5 Amador to contribute to their current strategic planning process. The resource directory was produced in both print and electronic formats and was disseminated to service providers and families with young children in Amador County.
