Helping Graduate Students Cope with Stress

Stress is an emotion, a feeling that is felt by many, but dealt with by few. Graduate students learn quickly that with another degree comes hard work. The struggles graduate students face while going to school varies from student to student, but stress is a common factor. This study analyzes what causes stress in graduate students, how graduate students cope with stress, and if recreation can be seen as an effective way to cope with stress. This study will benefit the graduate student community, by providing different techniques to cope with stress, and educating the students on what can happen if stress is not coped with.
