50 strategies for success in 4th grade

This project is the result of teacher surveys and collaboration between two elementary schools within the same district. It was created out of a need to facilitate a more effective transition during the first weeks of school for 4th grade students, and to help the same students enter 5th grade with a foundation of necessary strategies. The handbook includes eight sections: suggestions for organization, remedial curriculum that is separated into the five sections relating to California standards, and a section that lists the "power standards" for reference. All of the material created for this project is based on California curriculum state standards and outlines the necessary organizational procedures that students entering 4th grade will need in order to successfully manage the increased demands of achieving success in that grade.
