Chatsworth Resiliency Plan: Crime Safety

Resiliency is important because it helps create an organization that is empowered and has the capabilities to recover after a disaster threatens the stability of the community. To contribute to Chatsworth's resilience, we analyzed indicators such as community networks, housing, crime safety, traffic safety, business environment, transportation, infrastructure, community spaces, food and water, air quality, natural disasters and urban heat island and tree canopy effect. Community involvement was obtained by public opinions and public involvement through expert interviews, working groups, neighborhood council meetings and online surveys. These results served to develop long-term and short-term recommendations to increase resiliency. Expert interviews were conducted as part of the background research on Chatsworth.
