Whiteboard erase roving cleaner (W.E.R.C) bot

A project submitted to the faculty of the California Maritime Academy in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

This Whiteboard Erasing Roving Cleaner (W.E.R.C.) is made to clean a whiteboard autonomously and efficiently by placing it on the whiteboard and turning the robot on. This robot will then use image analysis to identify the marked whiteboard and move towards it, ultimately erasing it. W.E.R.C. bot will run on DC motors, a 9.4 volt 2000 mAh battery, and be operated by an Arduino microcontroller. The pixel analysis will have a camera shield from pixy cam, which is pre-set up to read pixels. The robot adheres to the board by ten magnets each having ten pounds of pull force. Using an Expo easer, W.E.R.C. bot successfully "runs over" and cleans the whiteboard.
