Access to technology and its influence on community college student performance
The purpose of this study was to examine the use of technology of second year community college students in an effort to determine if access to technology had an influence on student performance. Students were asked to complete a Technology Use Survey to share their computer and technology use. The study measured students’ access, experience, and habits. A comparison was made of technology use and student academic performance based on the student’s grade point average and social factors such as race and socioeconomic factors.
