Psychosocial adjustment problems in preschool children.

This study was designed to identify and compare psychosocial adjustment problems in preschool children. The hypothesis was that kindergarten children with non-working mothers have fewer psychosocial adjustment problems than kindergarten children with working mothers. A sample of forty-three kindergarten boys and girls was rated by their mothers, using the Child Behavior Rating Scale. The analysis yielded a significant difference in the psychosocial adjust- ment of kindergarten children with working and non working mothers .
