Attendance education workshop for Armenian American families of students entering 9th grade
The purpose of this graduate project is to create a curriculum for school counselors to present on attendance called “High school attendance: Family education workshop for academic success”. This workshop would provide a presentation about school attendance to Armenian American family members of students entering the 9th grade. The anticipated outcome of the 9th-grade family presentation is to encourage families of Armenian American descent to work together to prevent chronic absenteeism and decrease the risk of high school dropout.
