Understanding Teachers' Use of Technology in the Classroom.

This study surveyed thirty middle and high school teachers to determine the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom. Participants were asked questions regarding the equipment in their classroom, as well as their reasons and attitudes for using technology, and the benefits observed in students. Barriers to deeper integration of ICT were also discussed. The author aimed to develop recommendations for educators with low adoption of ICT. The results showed that the respondents readily use ICT when resources are provided, but roughly half identified barriers based on access to technology at school and home.
