Burnout Among Mental Health Providers
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate a mental health program's efforts to prevent staff burnout. Logic Model: This is a program evaluation of Agency Cancer Treatment interventions on reduction of staff burnout and the agency's use of evidence-based practices. Methods: A Logic Model was built with the use of public information from a hospital using interventions to decrease burnout. Review of public literature was also used to describe burnout, its impacts on the individual and organizations, and possible interventions to decrease it. Results: The use of interventions to decrease staff burnout such as knitting class, retreats, trainings and workshops demonstrated a decrease in staff burnout rate. Discussion: The reduction of burnout can be accomplished with the implementation of interventions and the use of evidence based practices.
