Mind-Body Intervention and Quality of Sleep

Purpose: This study looked at the effect of Mind-Body Intervention (MBI) and the reported effect of quality of sleep among 14 of Social Work Students at California State University, Northridge. Methods: Utilizing an ABA design for three weeks, this study looked at outcomes in the daily practice of 20 minute meditation. Measurement asked 7 questions using a 5 point Likert-like scale. Results: Study results showed positive outcomes for the degree of difficulty falling asleep, sleep restlessness, and energy level. Discussion: These benefits help students in better focus and exponentially to social work clients receiving direct services. Keywords: Meditation , Sleep Quality, Mind-Body Intervention, students
