Middle School Science Task Menu Project
This curriculum project examines the affect Task Menus can have on student engagement levels. Student engagement in the classroom can affect academic success and congruent self-efficacy. To explore the affect of Task Menus on student engagement, this curriculum project analyzes current literature on the topic, and includes an analysis of mediating factors including Multiple Intelligences, Differentiation, and Student Choice. This thesis project offers an example unit that utilizes Task Menus, which provide students with choices modeled after Multiple Intelligence Theory and Differentiation based on Bloom’s Hierarchy of critical thinking.
