The perceptions of teachers regarding the effectiveness of online learning
This study focused on the perceptions and opinions of teachers regarding the effectiveness of online education. Five teachers, all familiar with online education agreed to participate in this study. This researcher interviewed five teachers from an online learning program in Southern California. The findings showed that participants agreed that daily one-on-one communication, flexibility and personalized learning plans were paramount to student success. Finally, the results of this study suggested that positive, daily communication between students and teachers was central to student success in the online learning environment.
