Message codes and nurse compliance :a field study.

The study of the most efficient and effective means of communication has occupied research scientists for over fifty years. Experiments have highlighted man's inadequacy as a communicator. The behavioral psychologists state that by learning more about man's special attiibutes one benefit will be to ascertain his most efficient channel of communication (Miller, 1967:55). The capacity to collect, process, and use information is very marked in man so that he is able to learn elaborate coding systems and organize his social behavior by communication.
